Tourism in Europe related to olive oil production has been growing in recent years, particularly in Spain, Italy and Greece, the 3 main olive oil producers in the world.
Portugal, although not part of the podium in terms of quantity produced, is nevertheless the world’s 1st producer of Extra Virgin Olive Oil; We are therefore the largest producer of superior quality olive oil (acidity and peroxides< 0.8 and <20 respectively, and without any defects detected in sensory testing).
If you are an olive oil fan and want to learn more about the production techniques of some of the best virgin olive oils in the region, you can’t miss a visit to our mill.
Casa Féteira offers free simple guided tours of the mill and olive grove, as well as complete tours with tasting for those who wish to deepen their knowledge of the history of the region and the olive oil extraction process.

Guided tours
Our simple guided tours are free!
You can access the interior of the mill and listen to a brief technical explanation about the operation of the machines and production process and also visit the organic olive grove, getting in touch with the different varieties of olive trees.
Complete visits (not free) are more detailed, include a presentation on the topic in the room and tasting of cold-pressed and unfiltered olive oils, attributes, defects, etc., etc.
Both visits must be scheduled in advance, via telephone or email, or register using our form indicating your contact details and the date you wish to visit.
